At first people thought their concept was weird and didn't like how the girls played along in interviews and stuff, and disliked all the terms in the songs. But SM knew what they were doing, taking it even farther and giving them actual story content to expand the world, makes all the other stuff 20x cooler!! In love with this, most unique gg in kpop.

I gotta say, SM really is always ahead of time. Even though they're not the first to make AI idols, they're the first to incorporate them into mainstream pop, I remember when the AI concept was first announced, a lot of people (me included) thought it was really weird and it would just be a gimmick, but now with meta verse and everything, everyone around the globe wants to dive into the ai idol concept.

This concept is so deep... SM actually speaks up about people wanting to see only the perfect versions online and especially about idols, I wouldn't have expected them to be so socially critical. Really impressive.

이렇게 직접적으로 악플에 대해 다루는게 참 신선하고 멋지다... 지금은 세상을 떠난 에스엠의 두 아티스트들이 생각나기도 하고... 사람들이 두사람에게 좋은말만 건넸다면 어땠을까? 지금 에스파 멤버들에게는 과연 정당한 비판만 행해지고 있을까? 논란이 많았던 그룹인 만큼 이 주제를 다루는게 더 몰입되고 연예계의 악플에 대해 다시한번 생각해보게 된다... 인터넷이라고 함부로 말하는 인간들은 자기가 칼을 들고 있는 중이라는걸 좀 깨달았음 함

I feel like most people are focusing so much on how cool everything looks and the while ai concept but when you really pay attention to these episodes especially this one it really shows what being a kpop idol is really like. The scene in this where Winter hears rumors about her. The scene where Giselle is being bombarded with flashing lights and cameras. NingNing seeing hate messages. Karina wanting to be perfect so feels like she can only show her triats that make her seem perfect. It really has many meanings. Other than it being their story line and concept they also showed the harsh reality of being a kpop idol.
