Truly amazing, the story you’ve created and the world you’ve built is so in depth. Now that you’ve started including live action and real actors, just shows the lengths you’ll go to tell your story. Great work man! 😁
The phrase "THAT IS NOT A FUCKING PERSON" will easily be the best and most terrifying line I've ever heard. Not overly dramatic,no complexity, just sheer terror
I took a few filmmaking classes, back in the day. One of the key things I remember the teacher saying: "Hire actual actors, don't use friends that are all your own age, especially when the part clearly calls for an adult in the role". It makes a huge difference.
As many people have said, the visuals on this series are unbelievably good. But not as many are mentioning the amazing sound design in these videos, a perfect mixture of eeirie chords, dissonance, and the always present static/white noise that makes everything slightly hard to hear, which adds to the vibe.
I was worried when I saw that real people’s faces were going to be shown in this part. Thought we might lose some of the mystique or something. I was wrong. To see some of the faces behind this study only added to something that was already stupendous. Thanks for this great series!
We see a crew of 4 returning, so I think its safe to say Marvin made it back alive. The scientists then see the footage they brought back and the ending clips of the new Backrooms layout is what was behind the door.
Felt like I was watching Stranger Things all over again this episode. It's cool to see ASYNC actually responding to the threat and to get a glimpse at moving throughout their company and their reactions. Smart of them to immediately block off their section of the Backrooms to guard against the monster.
Imagine being 16 years old and creating something so good that you can get Hollywood-style live action shots to incorporate into your THvid series. It's insane how this one series based off a tiny greentext could get you so far in life. But you've cemented yourself as an inconic internet legend who can incorporate real life acting into animation seamlessly. You're doing things I couldn't have ever imagined when I was your age.
My theory is that after sometime, the stuff that was floating around in "Motion Detected" took over the motion cameras and tripods, evolving into the monster. After the monster has been proven to be real, like In this video, A-sync enters complete lockdown, closing off the backrooms entirely. So I think the guy in the informational video flashed forward in time to when A sync had abandoned the project, and triggered an alarm. In the end, I believe the first video we have ever gotten in this series is the very end of the story, with A sync having created such a monster (who detects motion, which is why I think the wall scratching said don't move stay still) on the loose, I believe that A sync seals off the backrooms completely, but people continue falling in, being endlessly hunted by the monster of A sync's responsibility.
If you pay attention to the first video, if you look and those… camera snippy things? You will see that the date was 1991, but the description says it was 1996. And something else happened in the informational video the cameraman was stuck, separated from his troupe. He begins wandering around trying to find a way back, he finds some kind of little structure, one with a finger recognition scanner. It recognizes his fingerprint. Because it was made by async in the later videos. “There where no other windows though,” you might be thinking, and yes there where windows, but they where closed off in the later video “Report”. And the reason it recognized his fingerprint was because it knew who he was, he was still an async employee after all. And the alarmed blared because they terminated any entrances/exits so nothing could go in or out, and he tripped the alarms. So what I’m saying is, time can warp in the Backrooms. Like staying in the Backrooms for days can be years perhaps (in some cases). Well, that’s all I have.
Kane, you are the closest thing i have ever seen to a true VFX / storytelling prodigy. THe fact that you are only 16 years old blows my mind. Your life is going to be incredible, you have such an illustrious and opulent road paved in rhodium laying before you. Never stop learning and improving, and become the next big thing, please. I need to see more from you, its all just stellar. You are singlehandedly carrying the entire backrooms community on your back right now. Im hooked and cannot get unstuck. Thank you Kane! This shit is legendary. <3 from stiffylube
Whoaaaa. This combo of CG and real people is so seamless. Good job, really fleshes out Async behind the scenes. Also, this is the first video where ASync has fully become aware of the creature. I assume the beginning shows Marvin & gang returning from the encounter- Looks like they tried to seal off the monster with that new wall which then became a closing gate thing.
