Doug one of my fav memories was the absolute slaughtering of the ghibli 😂 and the short loss of traction w the hellcat. 4:23 got me choked up. Messaging my childhood neighbor who’s fam only bought Porsche and me and him together loved the GT.
I remember seeing a grey CGT (not the yellow) in the streets of Denver in 2005, so there must have been two around. The guy actually gave it some curb rash trying to parallel park it in front of a restaurant near union station while everyone watched. How embarrassing! Congrats Doug! I saw it parallel parked out in front of the Wynkoop right after they came out. Didn't know of the wheel damage, but doesn't shock me. Just this year I've watched 2 brannnnnd new 911's smack the curb on their way out of the lot at the dealer by my house.

@ALBERT GM WALKER Schmee150 is a different kind of youtuber, because his content is mostly about his own cars. Dont underestimate how hard he too works for it. He provides content almost on daily basis. But tbh it is sometimes a bit much. On topic though: Doug is just a class act👍

I think a clip of him preordering another car to add to his ever growing car collection came up on my IG or FB feed recently, which made me smh and happy that I unsubbed to his channel a long time ago.
I agree, he is modest and genuine. Honestly hard not to like him! Most people who see him in “the wild” end up being able to say hi and he talks to them. The humility makes me like him even more honestly. Oh and his dog Noodle. That made my day!😊

I remember in 2004 being at the Porsche dealership in Vancouver, Canada and being told that the car was available for around $400,000 and then seeing one in person later that year at an event. Ive been following since the Range rover warranty days so its an incredible achievement from there to here on its own. All creators talk of the masses of work involved and all we see is the 10 minute video result. Must say i thought you was a bit mad starting an auction site with all the stuff that was already out there but sheer hard work and determination, you made it work. the same here when he said that he got married on the date that he fist saw a Carrera GT and had two small cars with the wedding rings I shedded some tears and it's impossible for me to be jealous of him because he worked so had to achieve his goals plus he makes free content on U tube for all of us to enjoy I'm so happy for him he seem like a really good guy .

It's not a live interview. You'd stop crying after the first few takes. Doug maybe did cry a bit when the (phone) camera initially started rolling. His voice does seem a little shaky.

I'm so happy for you, Doug! The intro to this video was the best one yet, with the way you couldn't quite keep from laughing with joy while saying "MY Carrare GT"! The Carrera GT has aged incredibly well - it was truly ahead of its time when it launched! I can think of no other car that is still as cutting edge this long after launch.
@Peter Baek he ALWAYS repeats that you need a lot of luck and he had it. Never acts like he was better, like he knew what to do. So while hard work is not enough Doug really appreciated everything he got over the years, which is really rare

I changed the springs, and now it's a bit lower than stock. 22:40 People are probably jealous and don't want to stare. I'm not jealous and love to look at beautiful vehicles.

Seeing this made me cry, point blank just bawled my eyes out. As a kid I had a poster of an Aventador on my wall and all I’ve ever wanted was that stupid, loud, poorly shifting Italian super car. And someday when I get it I hope I’m just as happy meeting my heroes as Doug is here. His sincerity is so unbelievably inspiring it’s incredible.

The investment comes from The Chernin Group, as part of the deal, Ro Choy takes the role of Chief Executive Officer of Cars and Bids. Ro Choy was the CEO of an On Demand Cannabis Delivery service, and The CEO of BitTorrent ... So that would seriously free up some of his own cash. He deserves every bit of success.

Obviously, it's very good to be Doug. One thing i've noticed in life is that once you obtain the title, degree, home, wealth benchmark or mechanical item you seek, you soon realize that it was the pursuit rather than the attainment that was really the enjoyment. To this day I think there's a lot of new Corvettes sold off the showroom to people that say to their friends "I could afford a new Corvette if I wanted too..here hold my beer". Then months down the road the shine starts to wear off and some of the warts start to show so the pursuit often begins again. I'm happy for Doug, its big jump from a $150K (ish) Ford GT, to a 7 Figure Carrera GT.
