This to me is probably Pacquiao's most perfect fight. It was a heavier weight division. And it was here that he proved to the world that he's learned how to box. He was boxing here so good it reminded me of Ali. And yet he still ended it in a spectacular knock out victory.
@Ryan Ocampo because lighwltweight is Pacquiao's natural weight division, but it's in welterweight that has the most big names in boxing which also means more money. I saw in one of Pac's documentary that he needs to eat more to stay in welterweight.
@Ryan Ocampo He already knows how to box. Maybe what you meam is lightweight is where Paquiao the strongest. Welterweight isn't his natural division but still dominates.
@Stealth 75 Pacman before training under Freddie Roach was a totally different fighter, he was a careless slugger back then, relied on his volume punching and power, but had close to no defense, his movement was predictable. He improved vastly as the years went on, that is not a knock on him, but rather a testament to his fight iq.
This was Manny refined by Freddy Roach. Right hook and more body work than previous fights. Add that to angles, footwork, combinations are ring IQ, and he was best of the best. He led with hooks. followed by uppercuts and finished with a straight left - things a left handed fighter is not supposed to be able to do period, much less against a conventional fighter. It makes me wonder how it would have turned out if Floyd hadn’t ducked him until later in his career. We’ll never know.
I'm watching this in 2022. Considering that Manny fought for more than ten years after this, and that he took five more titles, the banter at 04:28 is hysterical.
I'm Malaysian. But I feeled great n proud too as citizens in SEA countries from Manny Pacquiao persentation . Means Manny Pacquiao not just presenting Fillipine people but also presenting SEA citizens as we like n love to see his fight n hoping n prayed for his victory. He fight with great sportman-heart n patient . I hate seeing Diaz always made ' tumbuk-curi ,' ( steel- punchknocked #) when they are in-arms# of each other. Anyway its passed. To them both ,I wished 'Good-Luçk n May God blessed them both to what they ard now.
I don't know if its true but from what I've read many years ago, Diaz is very broke and very close to living in his car prior to taking this fight and this fight helped him get settled and back on his feet.
Pacman. One of the most lovable and entertaining fighters ever. Never really had a boring fight. His accomplishments in different weight class and longevity in top level is just amazing 🔥
Definitely this is one of Pacquiao's greatest fights of all time. Dec. 14, 2021 & i'm still watching this fight. It is still so exciting to watch.. Who is with me..? 👇👇👇
Underrated aspect of Manny's boxing is his startling accuracy with combos. Mayweather Jr.'s Philly Shell stifled a lot of Manny's combos, still, slowed down, Mayweather still ate a handful of combos even swaying far back
What I like Manny back then when He won immediately kneel down in the corner of the ring to give thanks to the Almighty. It gives me goosebumps for his humility.
@Golden Bro No, Pacman was too small for Hagler. Here we are talking about the all time best medium weight and he wouldnt have agreed to a certain weight.
I was very, very young when I saw the fight between Hearns and Leonard. Thats the best fight I even saw. BUT still the GOAT for me is Hagler. He was amazing. Pacman was really good. Hagler wouldve walk through Pacman and through Mayweather. He was that good
THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL TIMES… Until now, Pacman is still fighting for the sake of the impoverished majority-- despite all odds and challenges...despite dirty fighters in the corruption-ridden political arena...
Great fight, but if it teaches us anything it's that nothing is as it seems e.g. bigger isn't always better, and things aren't always so obvious. Pac realized early on that boxing's $$$/fame was temporary; and that it would *be useless* and *fail him* in the end *right when he needed help the most.* It's why Pac himself will tell you that the greatest thing that ever happened to him in life isn't related to boxing; instead it's when Jesus Christ became *his Lord and Savior* by grace thru faith *alone* [Eph 2 v8-9]. In the end Pac finishes well; how about you, interested?
@bastos well you've made an incorrect assumption and you've made yourself look like the first 3 letters of the word assumption itself. Im not mad....im satisfied with the result...i simply enjoy rubbing in the fact that floyd beat Pacquiao. So you are incorrect
@real im a boxing fan kid....floyds been retired for years ans i folllow the sport still...i have followed bozing since the 70s, longer than your little punk ass, has been alive.
I've watched him fight for quite some time and I'll tell you he has not missed a beat for a little guy he can play he's got a big big heart you got to kill him and knock them down he's a beast and even have mercy on the other guy unbelievable he's a good man thank you Lord me gave us Manny Pacquiao he's a good fighter 💯🗽🇺🇲
coz weltwerweight is where the money fights are that’s why its good for him to move up weight class, plus aging makes it harder for a boxer to cut weight so it’s a win-win situation for him I say
