The whole 3 episodes carried the implication (or perception to me at least) that besides Verzuz this would be the 1st time you guys toured together in this capacity. Not only that, it was stated on the opening intro that this was for "One Night". Knowing now more of the backstory and how business works in these scenarios, I agree with you. And I no longer think you're an assfoot, lol. Just goes to show you, you can't fully trust the media, Peacock, or any other tv shows with accuracy. Thanks again...perception is EVERYTHING!

One thing about Kandi is she’s ALWAYS been the business brains behind Xscape. Even back when they were starting, she would always stay behind and talk to the execs about the group and advocate for them. Even this very show they’re on right now is thanks to Kandi. She always means business. Business and feelings don’t mix. We don’t care that you sold 30 million records in the 90s. SWV ain’t popping like that no more. Even their stage production and presentation is not up to par with Xscape. The facts speak for themselves!

Kandi is an awesome singer/songwriter/producer/business woman/ mogul!!! She wrote bout 4 or 5 songs on the Destiny's Child album "Writings on the wall" that really catapulted them! My fav song on that album is "Hey Ladies"... Which in my opinion should've been a single. But shiiid... she wrote most of the singles that got the "ORIGINAL" Destiny's Child on the charts back 2 back. Kandi is a beast musically & overstands the game & staying relevant! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I agree Kandi I'm a grown ass man and that dinner scene with her mom made me really emotional too. For various reasons. For 1, it's cause Tamika comes off as such a freaking sweetheart & it seems like she honestly doesn't have a bad bone in her body, so seeing her cower like that with her head down kind of like a kid in trouble stressed me out lol because I 100% know that feeling! I'm proud of the restraint she showed, that tells us she's used to her mom hitting the roof like that. In your head You be torn between "ok that's my mama let me just shut up & be respectful & let her have her lil moment & let her think she running sumn" & on the other hand you be trying with all your might not to just cuss the bitch out & throw her out ya house!!😂 My mom is super strong & passionate just like hers too so all I can keep saying it I understand her 100%. SWV felt like because it was their 30-year anniversary, and they were inviting you all to their event, and that's why they felt they should headline. Definitely understand why Kandi said what needed to be said in the meeting. It was business no disrespect intended.

I love Kandi's business sense and how she is not afraid to be the boss chic in any situation. The rest of Xscape sat there silent while Kandi spoke up for Xscape. SWV was united with all of them showing disappointment. At the meeting, Xscape made Kandi look like she was the only one with the issue. Continue being a boss, Kandi, n every room you enter.

Just like her song. Fly Above, Kandi, is just awesome with everything she put her hands on. I will never understand why anyone come for Kandi. Those are the ones that can’t take honesty, and can’t handle anything given to them straight forward with no sugar. It’s like this world today, need everything handed to them, and when it’s handed to them, it better have sugar covering it up to the point you can’t even see what you really getting. It’s just sad. It’s bad enough, a black woman always has to hear, she too strong, she too hard, she this , she that. The education of why it's so important and how ticket sales play a major role even above accolades or records sales etc., gives the public better insight of why this matter can't just be swept under the rug. I agree with everything Kandi is saying however, for a one night show the Marquee could have been shared and the fee could have been split without lowering Xscape's fee and bring SWV's up to match Xscape's just for that show. Everyone would've been happy and the supporters "fans" would have got a wonderful show, and maybe tour with the same standards 🤔. As some of the members of both groups are friends or friendly this would've been a pleasurable conversation prior to TV. Just my opinion, and the way I would've honored both groups.

yeah you explained the tour billing situation so well. market oversaturation is real, and these promoters will do you dirty if you accept being lowballed once, they’ll do it again. not to mention record sales in the 90s don’t necessarily translate to ticket sales - you and tiny’s celebrity status definitely helps

First of all, I wanna say I love the way this video has been put together! Honestly, seems like it was edited a whole lot better than the show. I’m a die hard SWV fan for life and I love Xscape too but I also appreciate receipts. I know there are a lot of things edited out of these reality shows and I appreciate solid explanations. To be honest, I’d love to see SWV headline their own shows more. They could incorporate some of their unreleased material and that might increase the value of their show. Especially if they performed smaller venues that they could easily sell out. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that. As far as Xscape goes, I don’t think anyone likes to see their favorite group with members missing. I know that as people we sometimes let our emotions decide rather than the $$$$. I think either side has something important to say but which one is worth listening to. Life is short. I hope to see all four of y’all again on stage one day. I do like the idea of the two groups co-headlining (Not sure if that was the show I saw you all at in Ontario, Ca). But I do understand the numbers behind that (and the funny faces too). I hope everything works out. Guess we’ll see in the next episode.

My first concert was SWV and I still have the ticket stub framed in an actual photobook. I miss those days! If you have SiriusXM, they play SWV nonstop on the 90s channel and on the 90s R&B/Hip Hop channel. Memories yall!!
